We arrived at our villa in Tuscany, Italy with my dad, step-mom, step-brother, and his girlfriend on Monday. That was a tough day of traveling. We fit all 6 of us into 5 seats with all our luggage crammed into every available space for the 6.5 hour drive from Zurich airport to south of Florence. Yesterday we visited Siena (our favorite) and today we are exploring Florence. Although there has been rain, it has happened at night or when we are eating under cover and the temperature has been perfect; not too hot and not too cold.
We do not have wifi at the villa, so our posts may be sparse from now on.
The church of Saint Catherine in Siena.
Ponte Vecchio in Florence.
In other news, Kitty was finally able to take her final rest last night. We are very grateful to all our friends and family who helped and supported us in this very difficult time. We were able to facetime with her during the procedure and it was very calm and peaceful. We are very sad to loose our precious kitty but very thankful for all the time we had together.
You will be missed.
